The Cross Country

We have been writing recounts about the Cross Country. We have also been learning about speech marks!

Yesterday it was the Cross Country at Ashbury Park. Eve came first, Phoebe came 2^nd, Hazel came 3^rd. I got 30^th. It was alright. Mamam  was there and I was excited. Before the race started we had to warm up. When Mr Hope blew the horn I shot past like a rocket. Lauren was 2 people behind me. Mamam shouted 3 times, “Go Emily . You can do it.” She really helped. Eve was extremely fast! On the track there were some big kids and parents and teachers showing us where to go.

Yesterday we did the Cross Country. It was great fun. My Mum was there as well.My brother did not do the Cross Country because he had a sore knee.When Mr Hope blew the horn I whizzed past some girls. My Mum yelled, “Go Ashleigh”. I loved the Cross Country and its really just for fun.

On Tuesday we went to Cross Country. It hurt my legs running in the Cross Country. I came 15^th. My Mum was helping in the Cross Country. She said, “Go Angus.” At the start I speed past some people. Sam was just past me but I had a good time.

Yesterday we went to Cross Country. The year 3-4 girls went first. Mr Hope made us do some funny fitness things then we lined up, the horn went and we were off. Macey was coming third but I passed her. My Mum yelled, “Go Hazel”. Eve Scott came first, Phoebe Rolleston came second and I came third.
